Itinerary Highlights:

Day 1: Arrival in Asmara

Day 2: Asmara City Tour

  • Full-day exploration of Art Deco and modernist buildings: Cinema Impero, Fiat Tagliero, Post

  • Visit to the Medeber recycling market and local cafés

  • Overnight in Asmara

Day 3: Asmara – Keren

  • Scenic drive to Keren (2.5–3 hrs)

  • Visit a local school en route if open

Day 4: Keren – Monday Camel Market

  • Early morning visit to the camel and livestock market

  • Visit to the Italian war cemetery and Mariam Dearit shrine

  • Afternoon drive to Ghinda (optional stop) and continue to Massawa

Day 5: Asmara-Massawa

  • Massawa Exploration

Day 6: Massawa -Dahlak islands

Day 9: Asmara-Dekemhare-Segheneyti-Adikieh

  • Depart for Adi Kieh after breakfast

  • Visit Dekemhare with its Art Deco buildings along the way

  • Visit Segheneyti and visit the famous city of the baobab trees

  • Lunch in Segheneyti

  • Check in at the hotel in Adi Kieh

  • Dinner in Adi Kieh

Day 10: Adi Kieh-Qohaito-Asmara

  • Depart to Qohaito to catch the most amazing sunrise over the highest mountains of Eritrea

Our price is calculated per person or per two people for each tour package we have available. The prices may vary based on the tour selected, as we offer the flexibility to customise your itinerary.   • This tour is available all year round, just let us know when you would like to visit Eritrea in your contact us form.

  • To confirm your trip, please complete the contact form on our website. Once we receive your request and verify availability for your chosen dates, we will send you an email with a confirmation of the dates and a link to pay a 10% deposit of the tour fee.

    After the deposit is received, we will email you a final confirmation of your tour along with details on the next steps.

  • This tour can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Please contact us if you your group is smaller or bigger than 8 people.

FAQs

  • To confirm your tour, a 10% deposit of the tour fee is required. Once your dates and availability are confirmed, we will send you an email with a link to our Stripe account for secure payment. After the payment is processed, you will receive an invoice or receipt for your records.

    The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon arrival in Eritrea or settled in full before the start of your tour.

  • We can assist you to acquire a visa prior to your visit or ready to be collected on arrival. Please complete our contact us form and we’ll help you secure your visa in time for your Eritrea trip.

  • In the unlikely event that Alpha Travel & Tours Agency (Eritrea Tour) cannot deliver a service listed in your tour program, we will issue a refund for the value of the service not provided.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy Summary:

    • All cancellations must be made in writing via email.

    Refunds are based on the following schedule:

    • 30+ days before departure: Full refund minus the deposit.

    • 15–29 days before departure: 50% of the tour cost refunded.

      8–14 days before departure: 20% of the tour cost refunded.

    • 0–7 days before departure: No refund.

    No refunds will be provided for unused portions of the tour once it has commenced.
